Backyard Birds Need Your Help!
Species that nest along the Gulf of Mexico are being monitored by state wildlife officials. But, birds that nest in backyards across North America may spend the winter along the Gulf where they could come in contact with oil-contaminated habitats. We need your help to track the nesting success of these birds. Learn how you can help.

Birders and Scientists Work Together to Aid Recovery
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology is mobilizing birders in an effort to collect population data and to monitor changes that may assist in future recovery of bird species and habitats. Visit the Cornell Lab’s Oil Spill Recovery Page to read about what is being done and how you can help the birds.
